Little Black Dress

“One is never over-or under-dressed with a little black dress.”
                                                                    --Karl Lagerfeld

It’s Friday night. You’re invited to have dinner and drinks with girlfriends on the rooftop of one of the most exclusive places in the city and it starts in an hour.  You rush home, you take a shower, by some miracle your hair still... dare I say it, looks good from earlier that day. You hit your closet and...

What the hell are you going to wear?  This is a problem that we women have all encountered. The answer?  A little black dress!  Now, when I say little, I don’t mean little as in it stops under your butt and you are constantly pulling it down.  I mean the dress that is the perfect length and fit, not too much skin showing but just enough to make a man look twice... And make a woman roll her eyes.  You can pair it with a cute pump and prostitute lip (red lipstick) and be on your way.

Created by the iconic Coco Chanel, the little black dress was envisioned to be long-lasting, versatile and affordable.  The little black dress is a must have in every woman's closet and a fashion piece that will never go out of style.  Being the Plain Jane with a Twist that I am, the little black dress is perfect for me.  It’s simple yet stylish.

So, the next time you have a special occasion to attend and don’t know what to wear, remember that little black dress is your go to piece!

Thanks and more to come!
